We recently experienced our first set of snow storms in Park City and Deer Valley. Although most of the snow accumulation has been at the higher elevations, we have seen some snow in town. Below is an update on construction progress for the end of October 2024 at Sommét Blanc in Empire Pass at Deer Valley® Resort. Milestones include the installation of steel rebar and PT cable at Level Two of Building C; the first half of Level Two concrete will be poured very soon. For Building B, the Basement Level concrete ceiling has been completed, and the excavated areas have been backfilled. The next steps include ground preparation to begin the larger footprint for the massive foundation slab for the P2 parking level. At Building A, the steel rebar grid is set for the western half of the building footprint. (Although not shown in the October photos below, the concrete for this 3-5ft deep slab was just poured.)

Scroll down to view recent progress from the sequential photos below:

Workers are setting out the PT Cables or Tendons (long red cables) that will be encased in the concrete, and tensioned with hydraulic jacks once the concrete cures. October 31, 2024.
